Charis Ding is a teacher in a secondary school in Sungai Petani, Kedah. She started teaching in 2013 as a fellow under the Teach for Malaysia program. Since 2014, she has carried out reading sessions for students in her school every Saturday with the help of student peer tutors and volunteers. Rachel Lim is an English teacher in Merbok, Kedah. She began teaching in 2014 and currently runs a literacy program in her school for 18 mentors and 18 mentees. It has shown remarkable success and growth, with students improving 40.2% on average in reading growth after 12 weeks. The program runs every Tuesday for 1.5 hours. Joshua Tay is an English and History teacher in Pulau Ketam, Selangor. Since realizing that the biggest problem in his school was English literacy, he began running makeshift English literacy classes for students since 2014. The constant trial and error with various resources has led to the quest for suitable material to suit his students. For him, this quest has been fulfilled with MYreader. Joshua has a MEng (Hons) Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London. Sue Yen, Tay is an English teacher in a high-need secondary school in Ampang, Selangor. She has been running a reading programme for students in her school on Saturdays with the help of student tutors and volunteers. The programme has impacted 113 students and 120 volunteers in 2015.  Sue has a BS(Hons) Biology and a BA Health: Science, Society and Policy from Brandeis University.
